- Use dwarfing roostocks
- Consider trained fruit trees eg espalier
- Pollarded trees eg Small-leaved Lime, bay (can be pruned)
- Smaller trees eg hawthorns, Pepper trees
- Check sizes of plants PFAF or RHS
- Fruit bushes
- All perennial veg, and ground covers
